Meet Janelle
I believe God created our bodies for childbirth and when given time and encouragement, women can achieve natural labor without any intervention. I am a Christian, so I also believe in the power of prayer and creating a space for you to feel God’s presence. The reliance on Jesus in those moments of labor is fundamental.
I delivered all three of my children naturally in a hospital and experienced first hand how it would not have been possible without having a Doula.
Now that my children are a bit older, I decided to do my Birth Doula training through DONA International so I can help encourage other women the way I was.

She helped me cope by rubbing my back to help me relax through contractions; she held my hand so I never felt alone; she spoke words of reassurance faithfully over and over again such as, "This is good, it's bringing your baby!" ..."Don't be afraid, God is helping you"..."Jesus made your body to do this"..."Relax your jaw"..."Keep your voice low"... Janelle's presence was truly a blessing to both my husband and I on that hard, yet special day of our daughter's birth.”

“Janelle was a major blessing to my husband and I as she was by our side through my delivery of our first son. She truly listened to what my husband and I wanted and stood up for me during delivery when my midwife made me feel incapable of going fully natural. Janelle was interactive throughout my whole 31 hours of labor and even came to my apartment early on to coach me through contractions. She was so helpful of suggesting different movements/positions when I was in pain. She was a calming presense throughout everything. She quickly became a friend to us and we couldn't recommend her enough!!!”
